Night Shift Purchasing Supervisor \n\nTimpl has partnered with a 1 tier supplier for a global automobile manufacture\nand is seeking for a Night Shift Purchasing Supervisor.\n\n\n1. Oversee Nighttime Procurement Operations\n * Monitor and ensure that purchase orders (POs) are processed correctly during\n the night shift.\n * Coordinate with suppliers for deliveries, especially critical to avoid\n operational disruptions during off-hours.\n * Oversee inventory levels and expedited orders as needed to maintain\n production continuity.\n\n\n2. Manage Supplier Communication and Performance\n * Act as the point of contact for suppliers during the night shift, ensuring\n clear communication for order status, delivery timing, and potential delays.\n * Address urgent supplier issues or emergencies that could affect operations.\n\n\n3. Maintain and Update Procurement Records\n * Ensure accurate logging of POs, invoices, delivery confirmations, and\n supplier data within ERP or procurement systems.\n * Generate shift-specific purchasing data or reports for handoff to the daytime\n team.\n\n\n4. Supervise and Support Night Shift Team\n * Oversee junior purchasing staff or assistants assigned to the night shift.\n * Provide guidance, ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs),\n and manage shift handoff documentation.\n\n\n5. Coordinate Cross-Shift Planning and Handoffs\n * Communicate with day-shift procurement and production teams to ensure\n continuity, especially for pending orders or supplier issues that require\n follow-up.\n * Update SOPs or procurement schedules that span multiple shifts.
