Contract | Full-Time | Nights (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment | Temp-to-Hire possibility

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned Emergency Department patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of Emergency Department experience; current role must be in an ED, freestanding ER, ER code, or ER urgent care setting.
• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only).
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association only).
• Current PALS certification (American Heart Association only).
• Current TNCC certification required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience with competency-based onboarding and preceptorship in an Emergency Department setting.
• Ability to manage contingencies and adapt to complex, fast-paced clinical environments independently.
