Contract HR/Payroll Coordinator- Part-Time

HR/Payroll Coordinator Job Summary We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR/Payroll Coordinator to support daily human resources and payroll functions. This role will coordinate recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and payroll processing while ensuring HR and payroll activities are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and offer letters. Manage new hire onboarding, orientation, and employment documentation. Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR records. Process employee status changes, including hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation updates. Assist with benefits enrollment and employee questions. Track PTO, vacation, and sick leave balances. Respond to routine employee HR and payroll inquiries. Maintain HR forms, acknowledgements, and required documentation. Payroll Process bi‑weekly payroll accurately and on time. Review employee timecards and resolve payroll discrepancies. Maintain payroll records, deductions, and employee changes. Process final paychecks in accordance with applicable requirements. Generate standard payroll reports and maintain organized payroll files. Qualifications 2–4 years of HR and payroll experience. Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar payroll system preferred. Working knowledge of California employment and payroll regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong organizational and communication skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
