Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring CO or Compact RN license and 1+ years of OR experience.

Job Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting,
• Weeknight shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 1900 to 0700,
• 3 days per week, 36 hours per week,
• No weekend or on-call shifts required,
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications,
• Uses Epic for clinical documentation,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Colorado or Compact) currently in hand, no pending license accepted,
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start date,
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for unit or service,
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the Operating Room specialty required,
• ASN required, graduation from an accredited School of Nursing,
• BSN preferred,
• Epic charting experience required,
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards,
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for OR patients,
• Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data,
• Perform health teaching and counseling as needed,
• Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others,
• Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment,
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans,
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines,
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and abide by service behavior standards,
• Permanent staff must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment,
• Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results using a specific vendor, with firm document due dates
