Job Description

Job Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing complex laboratory tests and analyses to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires proficient use of laboratory systems and a thorough understanding of clinical laboratory operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of hematology, core lab, and microbiology tests with accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize Sysmex and CellaVision systems to analyze and interpret laboratory samples.
• Maintain precise documentation of test results and quality control procedures.
• Adhere to laboratory protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of samples in a high-volume environment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve sample discrepancies promptly.

Qualifications:

• Require a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a hospital laboratory setting.
• Hold current certification(s) such as ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Sysmex and CellaVision systems.
• Possess strong knowledge of handling complex specimens, including abnormal cells and turbid samples.
• Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment within a large hospital laboratory.
• Show excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
