Weekend Baylor Registered Nurse (RN)Earn Full-Time Pay While Working Weekends Only!

Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Two 15-hour shifts per week (30 hours worked)

Baylor Program Benefits

Get paid for 40 hours per week while working only 30 hours
Weekend differential paid in addition to your base hourly rate for all weekend hours worked

Employees in the Baylor Program are expected to work a minimum of 96 weekend days per year

As a Registered Nurse , you will provide high-quality medical care, medication management, health assessments, and clinical support for children receiving residential treatment services. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and a commitment to compassionate, trauma-informed care.

Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Client Care

• Assess and monitor clients' medical and psychiatric needs.
• Provide individualized, holistic nursing care.
• Respond to medical and behavioral health concerns with professionalism and urgency.
• Build therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
• Coordinate care with providers, therapists, and other treatment team members.
• Maintain HIPAA, COA, and agency compliance standards.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.

Medication Management

• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Maintain and update Medication Administration Records (MARs).
• Monitor, document, and report medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, errors, and concerns.
• Coordinate medication orders and changes with providers and pharmacy partners.
• Ensure secure storage and proper handling of medications.

Assessment & Care Planning

• Perform nursing assessments, including vital signs, wellness evaluations, pain assessments, and other health screenings.
• Communicate assessment findings to providers and nursing leadership.
• Contribute to treatment planning and ongoing client care decisions.
• Maintain accountability for all clinical documentation and records.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Serve as a resource and mentor to LPNs, CNAs, and direct care staff.
• Support staff education and training initiatives.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Promote KidsTLC's mission, values, and trauma-informed approach to care.
• Assist with health education for clients, families, and staff.

QualificationsRequired

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current Kansas RN license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.

Preferred

• Two or more years of psychiatric, behavioral health, pediatric, or residential treatment nursing experience.
• Experience working with children and adolescents.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced residential treatment environment.
