Contracting Manager

Houston: On-site

Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience and must have Oil & Gas experience.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Work in close collaboration with Project Managers and Product Owners to leverage market intelligence to establish the most optimal contracting strategy, sources of supply.
• Develop fit for purpose scopes of work and deliverables that meet project objectives, timing, and value drivers.
• Lead the full S2P cycle for complex project contracts including supplier qualification, sourcing, negotiation, contract formulation, claims mitigation/management, supplier and contract management.
• Responsible for development and execution of the C&P scope, narrative and deliverables to support the execution plan development, project cost estimate and schedule.
• Provide oversight to contractors and technology providers to ensure effective management of work scopes and strict compliance with contracts, POs, functional requirements, applicable engineering standards and statutory requirements.
• Ensures Chevron/CNE OE and HES requirements are communicated and well understood by contractors and suppliers to drive safety performance and Operational Excellence.
• Ensures compliance to Chevrons policies and procedures in a fit for purpose, risk-based approach. Leverage expertise and network to proactively make meaningful recommendations for simplification tailored to meet CNEs needs.
• Assist Contract owners with the application of risk and decision analysis in the contracting process.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SMART who stewards Chevrons contracting process, procedures and the contract approval and execution process.
