Job Title: Intellectual Property Paralegal Salary Range: $87,000 - $115,000 annually Location: Scottsdale, AZ Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote) Trustpoint.One is pleased to partner with an established law firm in its search for an experienced Intellectual Property Paralegal to join its Scottsdale, Arizona office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated, research-driven professional who enjoys taking ownership of their work and helping build and support a growing Intellectual Property practice. This position supports two Intellectual Property attorneys and offers significant opportunity for professional growth. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys researching patent, trademark, and copyright matters and is looking for a role where they can make an impact and help shape processes and workflows. Excellent opportunity to work closely with two experienced IP attorneys Ideal for a "go-getter" who enjoys taking initiative and creating their own path Replacement position due to internal promotion—the previous paralegal advanced into a management role Collaborative office environment consisting of approximately 15-20 attorneys across multiple practice areas Hybrid work arrangement with a 3-day in-office / 2-day remote schedule Position Overview The Intellectual Property Paralegal will support attorneys in a broad range of patent, trademark, and copyright matters. This role requires strong research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. Responsibilities Conduct preliminary patent, trademark, and copyright searches Perform due diligence searches and investigations related to intellectual property matters Prepare cost estimates for patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution and maintenance activities Coordinate and process maintenance fee payments for issued U.S. patents and issued and pending foreign patent applications Prepare and electronically file documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) Conduct legal research related to intellectual property matters Maintain intellectual property records, deadlines, and docketing information Assist attorneys with prosecution and portfolio management activities Support patent, trademark, and copyright projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate required Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in intellectual property law Experience with patent, trademark, and copyright matters Experience preparing and electronically filing documents with the USPTO and PCT Experience utilizing e-discovery software Excellent computer proficiency and attention to detail Superior written and verbal communication skills Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments Ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment Billable Requirement Annual billable hour requirement of 1,600 hours Compensation Salary range: $87,000 - $115,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, and market factors Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus during the firm's evaluation period Bonus eligibility is tied to meeting billable hour requirements The firm's fiscal year runs from November through October; candidates joining later in the fiscal year may not be eligible for a bonus during their first evaluation cycle Amanda, the hiring manager, describes this as one of the strongest benefits packages she has encountered in her legal career.
