The Speech-Language Pathologist will deliver a range of speech-language pathology services, which encompass screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, patient re-evaluation, discharge planning, and thorough documentation across various settings. The SLP will also engage in program planning and protocol development as needed, contributing to the team's efforts to achieve established objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conducts evaluation services, which include reviewing relevant historical data, performing specific assessments, and formulating recommendations while documenting results. Communicates evaluation outcomes and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in the goal-setting process.

• Exhibits expertise in executing treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient presentation, and the dynamic healthcare landscape. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals as necessary. Identifies and records changes in the patient's condition that may require adjustments to the care plan or additional medical/rehabilitation consultations.

• Ensures proper discharge planning and follow-up care. Accurately documents and charges for patient care activities in a timely manner, reflecting the patient's care journey, including initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.

• Demonstrates effective time management skills and meets productivity standards. Maintains an accurate schedule. Shows a professional commitment to facilitating seamless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and empathetic behaviors in a patient-centered environment.

• Takes proactive steps in pursuing continuing education for personal and organizational growth and competency. Acts as a clinical instructor for students and assists in the orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Speech Language Pathology.

• Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY).

• Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required for your specific location(s).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certificate of Clinical Competence.

This position offers a salary range of: USD $74,214.00 - USD $134,596.00 per year.
