This role partners closely with the Global Medical Lymphoma/Leukemia lead to support the development and execution of medical strategy across the product lifecycle, including marketed products and pipeline indications. The position collaborates cross‑functionally with internal partners and external experts to ensure the generation and communication of scientific evidence that supports optimal patient outcomes in hematologic malignancies.An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Global Medical Strategy Team for Lymphoma and Leukemia (LL). In this role, the right candidate will receive a great opportunity to be part of one of the recent most impactful medical advancements in patient care and an opportunity to work towards better outcomes for patients with hematological malignancies.You will partner with the LL lead and be responsible for a range of key projects that are aligned to business needs. These could include but not be limited to strategic development and overall tactical execution of Medical Affairs activities related to the lifecycle management of the product & where relevant early and late-stage pipeline launch indications. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Development, HEOR, Market Access, Government Affairs, Marketing and in-function across different regions etc., as well as collaborate with external KOLs and decision-makers.This role will report to the Head of Global Medical Lymphoma/Leukemia Strategy and will work in partnership with them and the team to perform all aspects of the role.Key responsibilitiesPartner within the Strategy Team to execute on required tasks and activities, deputizing for them when requiredExecute on tactics such as advisory boards, publications, training etc.Provide vision and direction for the assigned disease area, drive the development and execution of the cross-functional product and disease strategyPartner with members of the extended Global Medical Affairs team such as RWE, Scientific Communication, Publications to provide input, direction and review of materialsCapture insights on the assigned therapy area systematically, both internal and external, and be able to translate these insights into actionable activities for the therapy areaProvide guidance for the development and execution of the disease strategy, the medical Plans of Action (POAs) and cross-functional projectsParticipate in the exchange with the medical community and maintain a thought leader networkCollaborate effectively and in a compliant manner with colleagues in other functional areas, e.g. Clinical Research, Sales and Marketing, Market Access, PVERepresent Global Medical Affairs to external and internal stakeholders, including groups of experts, medical professional groups, societies, regulatory groups and at national and international scientific meetingsKnowledge, Experience & SkillsBA/BS and 10 years relevant experience, MA/MS and 8 years relevant experience, or PhD and 2 years relevant experienceM.D. , Pharm. D, PhD or qualification in Life Sciences, Immunology, or Oncology preferredRelevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with an expertise in cell therapy and Lymphoma/LeukemiaProven track record within Medical AffairsExcellent communication skillsSound organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent judgment and ability to work in a team environmentProven ability to work across a cross functional matrixSelf-starter with “can do” attitudeBasic knowledge of budget and account managementAble to travel to domestic and international conferences (travel 35%)The salary range for this position is:Other US Locations: $177,905.00 - $230,230.00.Bay Area: $195,670.00 - $253,220.00.Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
