Job Description: Enterprise Technology is seeking a Program Manager, LMS Service Portfolio to provide enterprise coordination, executive decision support, and lifecycle stewardship for Arizona State University's learning management system and connected learning-tool ecosystem. The position reports to the Executive Director, Learning Experience and works in close collaboration with the Learning Technology and Innovation team in the Office of the University Provost. The learning management system is a mission-critical service supporting students, faculty, and staff across ASU's physical and digital learning environments. This role ensures that LMS services, integrations, and vendor relationships are managed through defined, coordinated processes from initial request through evaluation, executive decision, implementation, operation, periodic review, and retirement. As with all members of the Enterprise Technology team, this role carries core responsibilities, including fostering a sense of belonging and cultivating a culture that is relational, visionary, and empowering. Position Salary Range: $78,000.00 - $90,000; DOE Essential Duties: Maintain an authoritative portfolio of LMS services, integrations, vendors, owners, costs, dependencies, audiences, support models, and lifecycle status; establish consistent practices for intake, evaluation, prioritization, implementation readiness, periodic review, and retirement. Identify decisions requiring executive direction; gather and validate the academic, business, technical, financial, accessibility, security, privacy, support, and user-experience information needed for informed decisions; and prepare concise, decision-ready materials describing options, tradeoffs, risks, resource implications, and recommendations. Translate approved decisions into accountable implementation plans with owners, milestones, dependencies, communications, and success measures; monitor progress, resolve or escalates, document outcomes, and confirm completion. Lead cross-functional programs involving LMS services, integrations, platform changes, and emerging learning technologies; coordinate readiness across operations, support, knowledge, training, accessibility, security, procurement, and academic partners. Coordinate intake, review, piloting, production decisions, and lifecycle reviews for LMS integrations and connected learning tools, including decisions on expansion, restriction, replacement, or retirement. Maintain vendor relationships, service commitments, renewal dates, escalation paths, and decision history; coordinate vendor reviews, roadmap discussions, and follow-up actions with procurement, financial, technical, and academic partners. Develop and maintain portfolio measures and reporting covering service health, adoption, support demand, change performance, integration status, cost, risk, and user experience; use evidence to identify improvement priorities and track corrective actions through completion. Coordinate evaluation of AI-enabled LMS functionality and emerging digital learning resources, ensuring appropriate consideration of intended outcomes, affected populations, data practices, accessibility, operational dependencies, support requirements, and measures of success. Leverage AI in routine tasks and contribute ideas for using AI to improve the unit's efficiency and overall performance. Take responsibility for fostering a positive culture, upholding organizational values, and championing engagement in all its forms. Collaborate across teams and actively participate in ET/ASU events and programs. Desired Qualifications: Experience supporting complex projects, programs, service portfolios, or operational initiatives in a higher-education, technology, or similarly collaborative environment. Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, such as technical teams, faculty, researchers, instructional designers, academic partners, or operations teams. Familiarity with learning management systems, digital-learning technologies, enterprise platforms, integrations, or AI-enabled tools. Ability to translate business, academic, research, or user needs into actionable requirements, work plans, priorities, or implementation activities. Experience preparing clear reports, dashboards, status updates, risk communications, or other materials that support stakeholder and leadership decision-making. Experience supporting vendor, contractor, statement-of-work, payment, partnership, or other external-provider activities is a plus. Experience supporting pilots, usability activities, feature testing, or research-driven evaluation, with the ability to use findings to improve services or processes. Familiarity with project-management, collaboration, documentation, analytics, or workflow tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, Looker Studio, Power BI, or comparable platforms. An advanced degree and/or project-management or Agile certification is a plus. Employment at an Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) institution: Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona.
