Account Executive – Healthcare Staffing
The Account Executive is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding relationships with healthcare clients by delivering staffing solutions that meet workforce needs. This role serves as the primary client liaison, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while driving revenue growth through new business development and account expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned healthcare clients, including those with health insurance or similar.
- Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with decision‐makers and operational leaders
- Conduct regular check‐ins, business reviews, and workforce planning discussions
- Business Development & Sales
- Identify and generate new healthcare staffing opportunities through prospecting, referrals, and networking
- Present staffing solutions, including per diem, travel, contract, contract‐to‐hire, and permanent placement (as applicable)
- Negotiate rates, terms, and service agreements in alignment with company margin goals
- Meet or exceed revenue, gross margin, and account growth targets
- Partner with recruiters and operations teams to ensure timely, high‐quality candidate submissions and placements
- Communicate client requirements clearly, including credentials, compliance, schedules, and onboarding expectations
- Monitor fill rates, time‐to‐fill, and assignment performance
- Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations, client policies, and credentialing requirements
- Resolve client issues related to performance, coverage, billing, or service delivery in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records in the ATS/CRM system
- Stay informed on healthcare labor trends, market conditions, and competitor activity
- Provide feedback to internal teams to improve service delivery and candidate quality
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of sales or account management experience, preferably in healthcare staffing
- Strong understanding of healthcare staffing models (contract, travel, per diem, perm preferred)
- Proven ability to build relationships and close business
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency with CRM/ATS systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting hospital systems or large healthcare organizations
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance, credentialing, and onboarding processes
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Experience in staffing agency or MSP/VMS environments
