We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations for a manufacturing organization in Duncan, South Carolina. This position oversees the accuracy of financial records, supports timely reporting, and helps maintain strong internal controls across the accounting function.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly close process to ensure financial results are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Manage general ledger activity, including review of entries, balances, and supporting documentation.

• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain complete and reliable accounting records.

• Perform and oversee account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and following up on outstanding items.

• Coordinate financial statement audit preparation by organizing schedules, responding to requests, and supporting external auditors.

• Monitor accounting procedures and internal controls to promote compliance and reduce reporting risk.

• Analyze financial data and provide clear reporting insights to support operational and management decisions.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and improve the efficiency of financial processes.

• 5+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with international operations/entities.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, HR, and other business units.
• ERP implementation or system conversion experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
