Help Lead a Growing Louisiana Convenience-Store & Fuel Business

We are growing a multi-location convenience-store and fuel retail business in Louisiana and plan to continue expanding our operations throughout the state. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on multi-unit operator who wants more than a traditional district-manager role and is excited to help shape the operations, people, systems, and culture of a growing business.

This is a field-based leadership position. You will spend the majority of your time in the stores, develop strong Store Managers, understand the financial performance of each location, identify problems quickly, and take ownership of results. You will also play an important role as the business expands, helping evaluate, transition, and integrate new locations.

The operator we are seeking will have a strong command of store-level operations and financial performance. This individual should be able to evaluate P&L results, develop and hold Store Managers accountable, identify and resolve operational issues, and maintain a detailed understanding of each location's people, performance, competition, and physical condition. The role also requires the ability to support the integration of new locations as the business continues to grow.

What You'll Own

·    Own store-level and district-level P&L performance, including sales, gross margin, labor, shrink, inventory, expenses, and profitability.

·    Maintain a strong field presence through frequent scheduled and unannounced store visits and operational audits.

·    Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable Store Managers and General Managers; recruit and build a pipeline of management talent for future growth.

·    Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, overtime, productivity, customer service, merchandising, promotions, inventory, foodservice, and store execution.

·    Oversee retail fuel operations, including pricing execution, gallons sold, fuel margins, inventory, deliveries, reconciliation, and variance investigation.

·    Maintain strong cash, inventory, lottery, and asset-protection controls; review exception reporting and investigate material discrepancies, theft, or fraud.

·    Ensure compliance with applicable fuel/environmental, alcohol, tobacco, foodservice, lottery, SNAP/EBT, safety, licensing, inspection, and operating requirements.

·    Oversee store facilities and fuel equipment, coordinate vendors and service providers, minimize downtime, and hold vendors accountable for cost, response time, and quality.

·    Monitor competitors and identify opportunities to increase sales, improve margins, reduce expenses, and strengthen store-level profitability.

·    Build a culture of accountability, urgency, customer service, integrity, and operational excellence.

Business Growth & New Store Integration

·    Participate in operational reviews of potential new locations and identify staffing, equipment, inventory, maintenance, vendor, and operating opportunities.

·    Lead or support store takeover and transition planning, including staffing and management recruitment ahead of expansion.

·    Implement company operating procedures, controls, reporting, and performance expectations at new locations.

·    Identify purchasing, staffing, maintenance, vendor, and management synergies across locations and help develop scalable SOPs that support continued business growth.

What We're Looking For

·    3+ years of successful multi-unit management experience required, with 5+ years of total experience in convenience store, gas station, travel center, or comparable high-volume retail operations.

·    Demonstrated responsibility for store-level P&Ls and financial performance.

·    Strong working knowledge of fuel operations, merchandise margins, inventory, shrink, labor management, cash controls, and store operations.

·    Proven ability to recruit, coach, develop, and hold Store Managers accountable.

·    Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-moving environment.

·    Willingness to spend the majority of working time in the field, with a valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Louisiana.

·    Experience opening, acquiring, converting, or integrating convenience-store locations is highly preferred. Familiarity with UST/environmental compliance, foodservice, alcohol/tobacco, lottery, POS/back-office systems, and fuel equipment is also preferred.
