Job Description

Accounts Receivable Specialist Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for supporting financial operations by managing cash applications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely processing of invoicing and receivables. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to support efficient accounting processes and accurate financial reporting.

Job Duties:

• Process cash receipts and apply payments accurately to customer accounts

• Manage accounting and bookkeeping activities related to accounts receivable

• Organize, sort, and maintain receivable documentation to support reconciliation and research

• Prepare, generate, and process customer invoices in a timely manner

• Review and verify invoice adjustments to ensure accuracy

• Record financial transactions including deposits, transfers, voids, and non-sufficient funds (NSF) activity

• Generate and distribute reports to management and internal departments as required

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records, including filing and statements

• Support reconciliation processes and assist in resolving discrepancies

• Provide backup support to accounting and administrative staff as needed
