Mail Room Clerk

Job Title: Mail Room Clerk Location: Greenville, SC 29607 Duration: 5 months' Assignment (potential to extension and conversion depends on performance) Shift/Hours: 40hours/week, Mon- Fri, 8 AM to 5 PM (one hour lunch) or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (half hour lunch) Work Model: 5 days onsite Interview process: One round, virtual interview Scope of Project: Mail room Summary: Sort and Distribute: Receive daily mail and packages, sort items by department or recipient, and deliver them across the facility. Process Outgoing Mail: Weigh letters and parcels, calculate correct postage, and operate postage meters or franking equipment. Track and Log: Record incoming and outgoing registered, certified, or tracked packages and obtain delivery signatures. Manage Shipping Services: Coordinate pickups and deliveries with major vendors like USPS, FedEx, and UPS. Maintain Inventory: Keep an adequate supply of envelopes, labels, boxes, and postage Organization: Strong attention to detail to route misdirected mail and log items accurately. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and transport heavy mail bins, carts, and large boxes. Equipment Operation: Familiarity with scanners, postage meters, letter openers, and copy machines. Communication: Basic computer literacy and polite customer service when handling staff inquiries. Must-Have Hard Skills: 1 year of Mailroom experience. 1 year of any Administrative Clerical experience. 1 year of Microsoft Suites, including Excel, Word and Outlook experience.
