Staff Accountant As a Staff Accountant, you will play an essential role in supporting the financial health and integrity of the organization. This entry-level accounting position focuses on day-to-day financial activities, including maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting monthly and year-end close processes. You’ll work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure financial accuracy, support compliance, and contribute to process improvement initiatives across the department. Position Logistics Primary Work Location: West Fargo, ND Corporate Office Work Environment: On-Site Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | Standard Hours Work Type: Full Time (40 hours/week) Position Responsibilities Financial Close & Reporting Assist with timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end close processes Prepare journal entries and accruals, ensuring completeness and accuracy Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements Perform general ledger reviews and account reconciliations Assist with monthly financial statement analysis and reporting Accounts Payable & Transactional Support Verify and process invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment of accounts payable Ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses to the appropriate accounts Maintain records of financial transactions in accordance with company policies Fixed Assets & Capital Accounting Track capital purchases, fixed assets, and building improvements Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure proper depreciation entries Compliance, Policies & Special Projects Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with legal and internal standards Monitor and support accounting procedures within assigned departments Identify and recommend opportunities for improving accounting processes Prepare special financial reports and analysis as requested by management. We're Seeking Individuals Who Have Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), experience with fixed asset software and ERP systems is a plus. Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of financial management. Collaboration: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a professional approach to managing sensitive and confidential information. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and manage professional business relationships. Professional Growth: Eagerness to learn new skills, expand accounting knowledge, and grow within the profession.
