Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 22 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios - Competency in telemetry Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. The schedule consists of either 48-hour or 36-hour shifts. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. There is no call required for this position. Floating within the facility and scope of practice may be necessary as needed. The candidate will undergo a clinical review to determine fit. If the candidate passes the clinical review and meets guidelines, they will be forwarded for a final decision. The traveler is expected to work a major holiday if it falls within their assignment. If more than one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler will be expected to work a designated number of holidays. Compliance is fully required to start on time. If not compliant in time, there may be a delay before start date. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. The unit treats a diverse patient age range, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 250 patients with 59 beds available. Interdisciplinary support includes various specialties such as therapy and social services. The unit handles a range of patient diagnoses and has special procedures available.
