Job Opportunity – Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: September 25, 2026

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other holiday required.

Highlights:

• SICU position at a major academic medical center main campus
• Night shift schedule with consistent 3x12 shifts
• Opportunity to work with complex, critically ill surgical patients
• Contract extension opportunities available for up to 18 months
• Comprehensive orientation including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments
• Pre-start and annual modules provided with billable orientation hours

Requirements:

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State license required at time of application
• Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in SICU (travel experience accepted)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director from an assignment within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
