About the Position
Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years current CCU/CVSICU nursing experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: Experience with cardiac equipment such as Impella, IABP, and PA Catheters CRRT experience Description: The Cardiac Care Unit is a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications including cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina, and congestive heart failure. The unit's acuity is high and routinely requires experience caring for patients with cardiac devices such as Impellas, IABPs, ECMO, CRRT, PA catheters, and LVADs. Almost all patients now have some sort of cardiac device, so this experience is essential for taking patient assignments. The position requires floating as needed to areas of like skill set.
