About This Opportunity

All Points North (APN) is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Telehealth Therapist to join our innovative virtual treatment program. In this role, you will provide evidence-based individual and group counseling services to individuals and families struggling with addiction and mental health disorders. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans, facilitate therapeutic interventions, and guide clients toward sustainable recovery and meaningful change—all from the flexibility of a remote setting.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual and group counseling services to clients in a telehealth intensive outpatient setting, addressing addiction and mental health disorders with evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each client's unique needs, strengths, and recovery goals
• Facilitate psycho-educational, experiential, and process groups in a virtual environment, creating safe and engaging spaces for client growth
• Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
• Assess clients' functioning across work, family, and daily living domains, identifying areas for change and tailoring treatment strategies to each client's stage of change and recovery
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team, case management, families, and referent providers to coordinate comprehensive aftercare planning and ensure continuity of care
• Provide ongoing clinical updates to clients' families and referent providers, maintaining strong communication and partnership throughout the treatment process
• Address co-occurring issues including family dynamics, self-esteem, life skills, and trauma, recognizing the interconnection between addiction, mental health, and developmental experiences
• Attend regular case staffings, clinical team meetings, in-service trainings, and seminars to stay current with best practices and organizational expectations
• Maintain the highest standards of ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional integrity in all client interactions and documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to strengthen clinical outcomes and program effectiveness
• Maintain compliance with all APN policies, professional licensing standards, and regulatory requirements related to telehealth and remote work

• Manages a full caseload independently while maintaining detailed, compliant clinical documentation
• Builds strong therapeutic alliances with clients and collaborative relationships with team members and external partners
• Demonstrates sound clinical judgment in assessing client needs, recognizing risk, and escalating concerns appropriately
• Actively contributes to team meetings and quality improvement efforts with practical, clinically informed ideas
• Maintains all required licenses, certifications, and continuing education in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted clinical licensure in New York (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, LMHC, or equivalent independent behavioral health license)
• Colorado licensure required; must apply prior to start date
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Professional Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health discipline from an accredited institution
• Minimum three years of clinical experience providing behavioral health treatment in mental health and/or substance use disorder settings
• Demonstrated experience providing telehealth services
• Strong ability to manage a full caseload independently, prioritize competing clinical needs, and maintain accurate documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Sound clinical judgment and the ability to recognize when a client situation requires escalation or consultation
• Working knowledge of evidence-based treatment models for trauma, addiction, and mental health disorders
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Ability to maintain a professional home workspace that supports HIPAA compliance and clinical confidentiality standards
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, secure environment for conducting virtual sessions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in intensive outpatient (IOP) or outpatient treatment settings
• Specialized training or experience in family and couples therapy
• Trauma-informed care certification or advanced training
• Experience treating co-occurring disorders (addiction and mental health)
• Experience facilitating virtual group therapy sessions
• Familiarity with developmental trauma and its role in addiction and dysfunctional behaviors
• Experience with interdisciplinary treatment teams and collaborative care models
• Bilingual English/Spanish capabilities
