TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68105!

Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a large urban hospital required License: Must possess valid nursing license Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and CPI preferred Must-Have: - Experience with drips required on all floors - EPIC charting experience required - Behavioral health experience preferred Description: This position offers a 36 or 48-hour work option. Traveling nurses may be required to float frequently to meet staffing needs. The unit handles a range of patient diagnoses from orthopedic cases to various medical conditions. Patients include those recovering from total knee and hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, and various medical ailments. The staff must be comfortable caring for patients with behavioral health conditions. Patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with rare occasions of 1:7 at night depending on staffing. Training will be provided for safety and de-escalation techniques. Travelers will float to meet facility needs across multiple units as required. Nurses are expected to work four weekend shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period. Up to two weeks of time off can be requested during the application process, subject to manager approval. Holiday requirements include working two out of three major holidays. All candidates must be nicotine-free. Scrubs are required, with specific guidelines provided upon confirmation. Interdisciplinary support includes various healthcare professionals to assist with patient care. The role is suited for those with a wide range of medical and surgical experience in a fast-paced environment.
