Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education certification (temporary or in-process credentials not accepted)
• Proven experience teaching general science at the high school level preferred
• Comfortable adapting to the needs of different campuses (assignments may vary)
• Ability to meet all time-sensitive district credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging science instruction aligned with curriculum standards
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and dynamic classroom environment
• Develop and assess lesson plans that encourage student participation and critical thinking
• Track and report student performance, communicating progress to parents and staff
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and needs
• Attend faculty meetings and professional development sessions as required by the school calendar
