It is the foundation of The Memorial Experience.Summary:Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities.Responsibilities:Collaborates with peers to improve efficiency, safety and patient experience.Takes an active role in promoting system and department policies related to Monitor Technician roles and responsibilities.Performs continual and simultaneous surveillance of multiple monitors. Acts as a mentor and resource for new staff and students. Collaborates with peers to improve efficiency, safety and patient experience.Reports abnormal or change in patient's telemetry monitoring to nursing staff or immediate supervisor or designated chain of command.Activates emergency response and rapid response for lethal arrhythmia and cardiac arrest.Prioritizes changing patient situations using critical thinking and problem- solving skills.Acts as a mentor and resource for new staff and students.Attaches electrode to patient’s bodies to record electrical impulses from the heart to perform continuous ECG Monitoring.Documents the electrocardiograph tracings of patients on telemetry monitors.
