This role offers an enriching opportunity to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students within our supportive school district. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities, identifying areas of strength and areas needing intervention. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to address the specific communication needs of each student, incorporating evidence‑based practices and innovative approaches. Implement direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, fostering skill development and functional communication. Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic progress and social‑emotional well‑being, ensuring a holistic approach to intervention. Monitor students' progress through ongoing assessment and data collection, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing records in compliance with state and district guidelines. Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing valuable input to develop effective educational plans for students. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of speech-language pathology, continuously enhancing professional knowledge and skills. Qualifications Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university. Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Georgia. Certification from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain. Strong understanding of educational policies, procedures, and regulations related to special education services. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred experience working in educational settings and serving diverse student populations.
