Production Technician

We are currently looking for an experienced, organized, and motivated individual with good communications skills to fill the position of Production Technician based in Taft, CA.The starting base wage for this posted position is $35 - $45 per hour, with a target annual bonus opportunity of 10% of wages paid. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with Match, Paid holidays, FSA, HSA.Responsibilities:Oversee and perform safe work permitting and practices, ensure regulatory compliance and reporting, and optimize production at designated work area or siteOperate, monitor, and optimize all equipment in designated work area or site per established proceduresTroubleshoot, resolve, report, and write work orders for issues affecting safety, environment, or operation at area or siteCommunicate work planning and prioritizing with location Operations Supervisor and, if necessary, other affected partiesIn-house maintenance, repairing, replacing parts as neededCollect and report data, and confirm all related reports are accurateDocument shift activity and information to communicate area/site state to shift reliefSpecific job duties will vary by location and will be provided by your supervisorComplete training as directedWork as directed by the Operations SupervisorQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDValid Driver's License with an acceptable driving recordSome work experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment or military serviceAbility to read, speak, and write English fluentlyMechanical aptitudeAbility to perform math functions such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and perform calculations involving fractions and percentagesBasic proficiency with computersWillingness to work 12-hour rotating shift schedule: holidays, weekends, days/nights, callouts, and overtimeMust be able to properly and safely wear all required PPE such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel toed shoes, supplied-air respirator, etc.Basic analytical skills to identify problems and identify possible solutions to production or processing problemsMust successfully complete a general aptitude and skill level assessment examAbility to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of timeAbility to lift and carry up to 50lbs.Ability to work overhead for extended periods of timeAbility to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingersAbility to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistanceEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
