Hiring Range
The hiring range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 p/hour. This is the pay scale range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience, along with the requirements of the position.
What You'll Do
This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with their hands and have experience maintaining, repairing, rebuilding, or overhauling equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, piping systems, engines, or other industrial/mechanical assets.
- Troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and rebuilding control valves, actuators, and instrumentation
- Performing preventive maintenance, calibrations, diagnostics, and equipment overhauls
- Disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling mechanical equipment to ensure reliable operation
- Working at customer facilities and in Caltrol service centers
- Inspecting equipment and documenting repair findings, test results, and recommended corrective actions
- Learning industry best practices for safety, reliability, quality, and equipment performance
- Providing exceptional service while building strong customer relationships
- Participating in ongoing technical training and certification programs
- Adhering to all safety policies, PPE requirements, and customer site standards
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a mechanical, industrial, maintenance, service, or technical role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience using hand tools and common shop equipment
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card
- Ability to meet customer site access requirements, including DISA/ASAP screening programs
- You must have a valid driver's license in good standing and an excellent driving record. You must also be able to pass random hair follicle drug testing that includes testing for marijuana.
What Will Help You Stand Out
We're especially interested in candidates who enjoy working with their hands and have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, rebuilding, or overhauling industrial and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate has experience diagnosing equipment issues, disassembling components, performing repairs, determining root causes, and safely returning equipment to service. Hands-on experience repairing, rebuilding, or overhauling pumps, motors, valves, compressors, rotating equipment, piping systems, or similar mechanical equipment is highly valued.
