Mold Maintenance Techs
$36 - $42 per hourSITE Staffing
Job Description Mold Maintenance Techs 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) Monday-Friday 2nd shift (3:30pm-Midnight), Monday-Friday Pay: $36-$42/hour based on experience plus -shift pre. 5% for Nights The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for minor repair, assembly/disassembly and preventive maintenance of injection molds. Below are additional duties and responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of plastic molds and hot systems.
- Daily use of toolroom equipment such as mills, surface grinders, and lathes to facilitate mold repair or improvement.
- Repair or request replacement parts, tooling, or hardware as needed to maintain replacement inventory.
- Set-up and operate all hand-tool equipment along with manual toolroom machines.
- Coordinate with our internal MGS Engineering department for specific operations or needs.
- Understand and use toolroom inspection equipment as required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Familiar with hand tools.
- Familiar with repairing and preventative maintenance of molds is preferred.
- Understanding of toolroom equipment such as mills, surface grinders, and lathes is preferred.
- Understanding of mold building and injection molding process is preferred.
- Lock out/Tag out and Forklift experience.
- Ability to read and follow step by step work instructions.
