Job Title: Nursing Administrator Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Administration Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2-3 years of acute care experience (unless IR Hybrid Tech, then 3 years of hybrid experience) License: Required License based on position Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and other position-specific certifications Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: This position is within a Level I Trauma Center. The facility is Magnet Designated and recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The unit has 28 beds, including 2 hybrid rooms for CV/Vascular cases. On average, the unit sees approximately 60-75 cases per day. Patient types include outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases. Common diagnoses involve gunshot wounds, stabbings, transplant cases, general surgery, gynecology, urology, robotics, vascular, orthopedic, neurologic, and open-heart surgeries. The hybrid room sees between 5-10 cases per day, with a mix of adult and pediatric cases. Experience in above hybrid patient types is required for certain positions. The department provides support including charge nurses without patient assignments and resources such as educators and service line representatives. The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC. Orientation includes meeting educators and ANMs and unit-based training. Weekend rotation is required every fourth weekend. Shifts may involve varying start and end times. The facility operates 24/7, and holiday coverage requirements are in place. On-call duties apply depending on shifts and service lines, with a response time of 30 minutes. Scrub colors and other specific details will be provided upon hiring.
