Description

OB Technician (SEIU)

Provides assistance in providing patient care during labor, delivery and recovery. Performs surgical scrub duties, maintains acceptable levels of supplies, and provides turnover of patient areas. Assists in the operating room with obstetrics related surgery. Assists with patient care before and after surgery. This position is represented by SEIU.

Requirements

Night Shift 3/12s 6p-6a; vaginal delivery experience needed. 1 year experience, prefer in OB. Surge Tech or CNA cert preferred as well. Call required as needed. General unit tasks include - turning rooms over, stocking, assembling charts together, answering phones, call lights, vital signs of trained, and updating census logs.

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate?s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Department Specific License/Certifications:

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA): Required
