Logistics Specialist - Material Handler/Delivery Driver - Grand Rapids Job Category : Operations Requisition Number : LOGIS008132 Posted: May 29, 2026 Full-Time Location 6748 Patterson Ave SE, Caledonia, MI 49316, USA Job Description The primary role of the Logistics Specialist (LS) involves loading and unloading tires for warehouse storage and/or timely customer delivery, including unloading and staging of products at the customer’s business location. The LS represents TireHub professionally in all customer interactions, maintains safe driving practices, delivers exceptional customer service, and fosters strong customer relationships. Schedule and Compensation Monday through Saturday – fluctuating day shift hours. Starting wage of $20.50 per hour with guaranteed increases of $2.00 over your first year of employment. Roles and Responsibilities Loads, unloads, inspects, and tallies tires to and from transport vehicles (trailer trucks/box trucks/delivery vans). Follows TireHub safety standards when selecting, packing, counting, labeling, and palletizing customer orders. Operates equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks while adhering to safety protocols. Participates in cycle counts and inventory control procedures. Collects payments from customers on Cash on Delivery (COD) transactions. Maintains vehicle cleanliness and mechanical readiness, performing pre/post‑trip inspections. Completes driver and vehicle maintenance logs regularly. Ensures compliance with all TireHub policies and procedures. Pursues ongoing training via in‑class, in‑person, or computer‑based modules. Optimizes work processes for continuous improvement. Manages ambiguity and drives results under challenging circumstances. Collaborates with others to meet shared objectives. Communicates effectively with diverse audiences. Required Experience and Qualifications At least 1 year of general work experience. Valid driver’s license and minimum of 2 years of driving history. Age 19 or older. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift, pull, push and/or move tires up to 50 lbs (with or without mechanical assistance). Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting. Capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Accurate and efficient loading and unloading of tires in warehouse and delivery vehicles. Experience working up to 35 feet above ground level and up to 8 hours on a forklift. Knowledge of Manifest, GPS and navigation systems. Valid forklift certification. Working Conditions Physical lifting and moving of tires (up to 50 lbs or more). Regular standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crawling, climbing, and balancing. Handling hazardous materials and wearing protective equipment. Specific vision requirements (close, distance, color, peripheral). Work in various environments, including non‑climate‑controlled warehouses and customer locations. Extended shift work including evenings and weekends; variable notice.
