About the Opportunity

A well-established national insurance defense law firm is seeking a Nevada-licensed Associate Attorney to join its General Liability Practice Group in Las Vegas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3–10 years of litigation experience , preferably handling General Liability and Premises Liability Defense matters.

The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, excellent legal research and writing abilities, and experience managing cases from inception through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• General Liability & Premises Liability: Handle defense litigation involving bodily injury, premises liability, and related general liability claims.
• Legal Research & Writing: Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Case Management: Prepare cases for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Discovery: Review documents, prepare discovery requests and responses, and assist with interrogatories and depositions.
• Court Appearances: Represent clients at hearings, argue motions, and assist with trial proceedings.
• Client Communication: Provide regular case updates, gather information, and address client concerns.
• Risk Assessment: Evaluate liability exposure, legal risks, and potential case outcomes.
• Litigation Strategy: Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop effective defense strategies.
• Billable Hours: Meet assigned billable-hour requirements while managing cases and deadlines.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
• Professional Development: Participate in continuing legal education and remain current with Nevada laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Nevada Bar license in good standing required.
• Must be located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
• 3–10 years of attorney experience preferred.
• General Liability and Premises Liability Defense experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Nevada state and federal litigation procedures.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Ability to independently manage cases while collaborating with a legal team.
• Professionalism, discretion, and a strong work ethic.
