TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Seattle, Washington, 98122!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Experience with high-risk patients Description: Locals accepted at the same rate. Permanent candidates from other facilities are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months. A compact license is required. Experience with high-risk cases required. First-time travelers are accepted. Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Floating may be required to postpartum and antepartum units. Patient diagnoses may include midwifery clients, private OBs, and adult recovery services. Experience with electronic fetal monitoring is required. Staffing will follow established guidelines. The unit handles high-risk, high-volume labor and delivery. The unit features 4 operating rooms. Candidates must be capable of working in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. Roles include functioning as a baby nurse during delivery. Continued care for the newborn until transfer to postpartum is required. Newborn care includes assessments and administering medications. Average daily census is approximately 15 patients with 500-600 deliveries monthly. The facility has a total of 31 rooms and beds. Scheduling is done every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. Preferred certifications include ACLS and AWHONN certifications. Candidates must possess skills in various obstetrical procedures and newborn care. Patients in this unit may include neonates. Interdisciplinary support and interpretation services are available. Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities. Travelers must fulfill responsibilities as assigned without refusing float requests.
