Business Strategy & Optimization Analyst (Quantitative Analyst) – Card Services General function: The Business Strategy Optimization Analyst uses analytical frameworks and modeling techniques—including decision trees, logistic and linear regression, and machine learning—to generate insights and strategies that drive the bottom‑line profitability of various banking products and customers. The role requires an understanding of the intersection of consumer behavior, business drivers, and data‑driven decision‑making to solve problems and influence business strategy. The Analyst provides recommendations that could impact product design, pricing, segmentation and marketing, credit, fulfillment, and customer experience. The Analyst is responsible for risk management, ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience and comply with bank policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Gather and prepare complex data for modeling and analysis. Develop and execute models, segmentation, and policies in market projects. Project business impacts and monitor and track against commitments. Create and present convincing business cases to support recommendations. Design tests to generate insights and improve understanding of customers. Effectively lead project teams in a highly matrixed environment. Communicate effectively with senior leadership. Perform ad hoc portfolio analysis in a fast‑paced and dynamic business environment. Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (science, technology, engineering, math, or economics). Minimum 3 years of demonstrated analytical experience. Experience in data mining and analysis using SAS, SQL, Python, R, and machine learning. Experience with quantitative marketing and market research techniques. Ability to develop and design tests that are statistically grounded. Demonstrated management, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Strong product management, design, and development skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Compensation Total Base Pay Range: $69,800.00 – $143,100.00 USD annually. This role may also be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
