Role Summary Clinical Nurse Manager – Inpatient Psychiatry/Medicine – 11North As Clinical Nurse Manager you will lead the unit, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective operations, uphold safety and quality standards, and support the Patient Care Director in planning short‑ and long‑term goals aligned with the hospital’s strategic objectives. You will also monitor staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements. Responsibilities Provide first‑line leadership and accountability for patient care delivery. Facilitate efficient daily operations regarding admissions, discharges, and transfers. Promote a culture of safety and quality by implementing established standards, protocols, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with the Patient Care Director on goal setting and alignment with hospital strategy. Monitor staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements. Preferred Criteria Master's Degree in Nursing At least 5 years of nursing experience 2‑3 years of Charge Nurse experience Professional nursing certifications Required Criteria Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 2+ years of clinical experience in psychiatry Current New York State RN license Knowledge of current health‑care environment Demonstrated understanding of customer service principles Effective interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated leadership skills Proficiency with computer applications Knowledge of performance improvement principles Location / Hours NewYork‑Presbyterian Weill Cornell. Full‑time, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm. One weekend coverage per month or as needed.
