Your Role at Baxter The Field Service Technician I will perform functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical products. This is where we transform healthcare together by cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non‑Baxter products. Every repair, every delivery, and every call makes a real impact. The role also includes performing the same responsibilities as a Field Service Technician I related to product readiness for patient utilization, operating a fleet vehicle safely, and providing 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. Team and Work Environment The field service team works within hospital and service setting environments to repair medical devices. What You’ll Do Performs electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products. Troubleshoots devices and repairs malfunctioning components. Uses appropriate tools to make required adjustments and repairs. Provides on-call coverage, up to 24/7, including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits. Loads, unloads, and removes medical products, weighing up to 1680 pounds. Generates service revenue and completes activities required under service contract. Safely operates box trucks or company cars ranging from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck. What You’ll Bring Must be at least 21 years of age High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience Valid driver’s license and driving record Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) Preferred Qualifications Technical or trade school training DOT physical card (assistance is provided) Experience with FDA-regulated products Experience in customer service Safety Requirements Must wear personal protective equipment including safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing. All equipment is provided. Frequently works in environments where biohazards could be present (e.g., hospitals, service centers, and depots).
