Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Ultimate Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for a growing manufacturing company in Milford, CT. This is a full-time opportunity offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the chance to join a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
• Inspect shipments for damage and document any discrepancies.
• Unpack, label, and organize received materials in designated storage areas.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by verifying orders and shipping methods.
• Pack and box products up to 110" in length; boxes may weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain point-of-use inventory, including staples, tape, labels, boxes, and other shipping supplies.
• Ensure complete accuracy of all shipping transactions using StarShip (WorldShip experience accepted).
• Perform various clerical and administrative duties related to shipping and receiving.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation.
• Use computer-based systems to ship, track inventory, and update stock records.
• Process shipments through UPS, FedEx, and international carriers using StarShip.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve shipping and inventory issues.
• Safely operate pallet jacks to move materials throughout the shipping and receiving area.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience using StarShip or WorldShip.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory management.
• Experience with picking, packing, and order fulfillment in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of proper packaging techniques to ensure safe transportation of products.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to stand for most of the workday.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Excellent attendance and reliable transportation required.

Compensation

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (or until daily shipments are completed)
• Occasional overtime available
