We’re Ouma Bakery! We’re nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
We are currently looking for a PART TIME baker, with the strong potential for full time in the near future.
This position will be responsible for prep, production and bakes. Knowledge of enriched dough production, quick breads, scones/biscuits, and cakes/cookies is essential. This position requires a good amount of self-guidance (as we are a small team), so a strong understanding of general pastry kitchen knowledge and food safety guidelines is mandatory. You’d work alongside our head of pastry who is a classically trained professional with diverse experience, so an incredible opportunity to learn a ton.
The schedule for this position can be quite flexible as a part time baker, but Sunday and Monday shifts are mandatory.
Requirements:
3-4 days a week commitment
Flexible schedule, but must include Sundays and Mondays
Must have a valid food handlers certificate
Communication and organizational skills are mandatory
