Senior Medical Assistant - Neurology

Overview At our Neurology Clinics, we specialize in evaluating, diagnosing and treating all neurological conditions, whether common or rare. Join our team to collaborate with highly skilled subspecialists and provide for patients with a wide range of neurological concerns. Senior Medical Assistants (MA-C) with over 2 years of experience (at least 6 months in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years) take on a leadership role and help guide clinic operations and counsel Associate Medical Assistants beginning their careers. After a year of service as a Senior Medical Assistant and a MA-C designation, you’ll be eligible for a Lead MA promotion and additional leadership responsibilities. The MA III works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA III is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II roles. Additionally, the MA III proactively takes initiative and serves as an informal leader with additional responsibilities related to clinic/location. MA III serves as an ambassador, change agent, quality champion, and mentor/resource to Medical Assistants by providing support, guidance, and training as needed. Responsibilities As a Senior Medical Assistant/MA-C, you will perform standard MA responsibilities, including helping with administrative and clinical tasks, guiding clinic operations, and counseling Associate Medical Assistants. After a year of service and MA‑C designation, you may be eligible for Lead MA promotion. As an MA III, you will perform all aspects of the MA I and MA II roles, proactively take initiative, and serve as an informal leader, ambassador, change agent, quality champion, mentor, and resource to Medical Assistants. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands‑on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire 2 years of medical assisting experience in a clinic setting 2 years of experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast‑paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion 6 months of working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years Preferred Qualifications National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire Benefits Our benefits are uniquely designed to support you and your family in staying well, growing professionally, and achieving financial security. Compensation Pay Range: $29.79 - $45.58 per hour.
