Key Account Manager- Polymers - Non Automotive

What we look for in you
- Must have experience working in non-automotive industry, with engineering polymers.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Polymer Science and/or Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in account management or business development role, required.
- Strong customer interaction
- Strong commercial/business acumen
- In depth knowledge of engineering plastics customers, products and/or applications preferred
- Balance of commercial and technical know-how, skills and experience
- CRM experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong team building and team playing capabilities, must have demonstrated excellent relationship building, negotiation and influencing skill
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule is required. After training, you would work onsite 3 days and from home the other two. (Must be located within daily driving distance to Troy, Michigan)
General Responsibilities:
- Manage the front-end activities for sales representatives.
- Engage with teams in the US and Canada.
- Coordinate efforts with multiple departments.
- Leverage the CRM system for reporting functions.
Challenges
- Pro-active alignment with global counterparts regarding customers strategies, contracts and pricing
- Negotiate prices, rebates, contracts directly
- Maintaining best-in-class communication channels with customers
- Ensure sales call reporting
- Management of conflict situations (complaints, prevent escalation)
