Senior Manager, Advanced Energy

Intuitive Surgical seeks a Senior Manager to lead advanced energy product development across multiple concurrent programs. The role requires technical depth in energy-delivery systems, portfolio-level operational ownership, and demonstrated experience managing cross-functional engineering teams toward commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Own operational objectives, budgets, work plans, and staffing across multiple concurrent energy development efforts
• Establish and enforce budgets, schedules, and resource plans across parallel programs at different maturity stages
• Direct hardware/software requirements generation, management systems, and verification approaches across portfolio
• Oversee system-level technical risk registers and drive cross-program mitigation decisions
• Govern system architecture and test-method development; represent portfolio progress and risks to executive leadership

Requirements

• BS in engineering discipline; MS/PhD or MBA strongly preferred, EE preferred
• Minimum 10 years development experience in regulated environments; 3+ years people management
• Expertise in FDA QSR, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, IEC 62304 standards
• Proficiency with analog/digital embedded systems and switching power supply design
• Experience leading multiple concurrent programs or teams in product development
• Hardware development background on energy-based surgical or therapeutic devices preferred
• Hands-on proficiency with oscilloscopes, function generators, and embedded system troubleshooting
