The role involves assisting with various clinical procedures related to interventional radiology. The nurse will support the management and care of patients with central lines, peripheral IVs, and implanted ports. Candidates should have experience in infection prevention and isolation precautions. Knowledge of pressure ulcer assessment and prevention is necessary. The nurse will work with a small team, contributing to a ratio of 1 nurse to 2 patients. Self-motivation and the ability to think critically are essential in this role. The clinic has a daily patient census of 6-10 patients. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various teams including IV, physical therapy, and social services. The patient population primarily includes adults with a variety of diagnoses. No on-call or weekend shifts are required for this position.
