Psychiatrist - Region 5

Job Title: Psychiatry - Region 5 Address: Columbus, OH Job Description Evaluates, examines, analyzes, diagnoses & treats consumers, prescribes medication & performs in-depth psychotherapy & counseling. Monitors & coordinates professional & paraprofessional medical, nursing & direct care staff related to psychiatric care. Reviews consumer records for accuracy & completeness; recommends improvements in hospital staffing & organization. Conducts & participates in lectures & seminars in psychiatry or related fields for health care staff. Must have experience working with all ages, including adults and children. Critical Information Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00; subject to rare after‑hours calls. Must be local to Ohio with travels to various facilities; will know in advance which facility requires coverage. Education/Licenses Needed Certificate to practice medicine per Section 4731.13; completion of a residency training program in psychiatry. 5 or more years of medical practice limited to psychiatry; biannual license renewal with 100 hours of continuing education required.
