The Literacy Program Coordinator creates data‑guided workshops and motivation sessions to enhance reading skills for K‑2 students. What You Will Be Doing Creating 20‑minute small‑group K‑2 reading workshops based on real‑time adaptive‑app data, rooted in structured‑literacy approaches (Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, IMSE, etc.). Conducting daily motivation sessions to drive 100% of students toward their weekly app targets using Alpha’s motivational framework. Analyzing AI‑generated performance data to adjust instruction mid‑day. Conducting running records, fluency probes, and decoding assessments to demonstrate gains in campus data reviews. Being an engaging, energetic adult that students look forward to seeing daily. What You Won’t Be Doing Implementing a published reading curriculum or scripted program; you design lessons from data. Delivering lecture‑style instruction; all teaching happens in small groups. Serving as a reading consultant or district‑level specialist; you work with children daily. Managing a traditional classroom schedule (subject by subject, homework, test prep). Preparing IEPs, 504 plans, or formal diagnostic reports; tracking through app data and running records. Key Responsibilities Generate measurable K‑2 reading advancement within a campus community, reviewed weekly. Basic Requirements Structured‑literacy certification (Orton‑Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson, IMSE, etc.) or a Master’s in reading instruction. Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of full‑time K‑2 structured reading instruction in the past 5 years. Proven capacity to design independent reading lessons and articulate methodology. Commitment to full‑time on‑site work at one Alpha campus (relocation assistance available). Willingness to instruct all K‑2 students and use AI/adaptive tools in daily instruction. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. Nice‑to‑have Requirements Experience with AI‑powered or adaptive reading platforms (e.g., Amira, Lexia, i‑Ready, Reading Plus). Documented history of measurable reading outcomes (fluency gains, accuracy improvements, decoding progression). Familiarity with diagnostic assessments (DRA, DIBELS, AIMSweb).
