Help oversee the school's strategic direction, holding leaders accountable for financial and educational performance while ensuring pupil welfare and safety. Responsibilities include setting the school's vision, scrutinising academic achievement, managing budgets and staff appointments, and ensuring policies are in place and effective. Governors act as a "critical friend" to the headteacher, using their diverse professional skills to support the school's development. Required Skills Life experience, but it would be helpful to have either HR, Legal or previous, education experience.
