Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend Required | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Orthopedic/Neuro Med/Surg unit serving scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surgical patients, fractures, and medical overflow
• Interpret telemetry strips and apply telemetry competency throughout each shift
• Perform neurological assessments as part of routine patient care
• Maintain clinician-to-patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 on night shift
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float to applicable units when requested based on census and staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN License required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience in a single location
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Travel Nurse
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Neuro assessment skills required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic medical records
• Background in orthopedic or neurology patient populations
