Reporting to the Information Security Compliance and Training Manager, the Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist is expected to ensure that the institution's operations comply with legal/regulatory standards, and university procedures and policies.Among the key duties of this position are the following:Documents and evaluates compliance activities and liaising with government agencies.Assists and serves as a resource to determine risk gaps and/or policy needs based upon updates or mandates to regulatory, statutory, or other requirements, to include but not limited to — HIPAA, PCIDSS, GLBA, FISMA, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CMMC, etc.Performs other tasks as assigned.FLSA - ExemptGrade - 07Salary DetailsMinimum Salary - 108147.000Mid Range Salary - 136809.000Maximum Salary - 165471.000Benefits - Rutgers provides a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Information Security programs and knowledge of HIPAA, GLBA, PCIDSS, CMMC, FISMA regulations and standards.Certifications/LicensesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO27001-2, ITIL, and Project Management methodology are essential. Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a variety of disciplines and levels inside/outside the organization. Ability to effectively analyze, document and communicate information security concepts to different user bases, including faculty, staff, systems personnel, and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Documenting and reporting skills. Ability to work in a hybrid environment with standard computing equipment.Preferred Qualifications - CompTIA Security+, CISA, PMP, HCISPP, CMMC, or other related certification. Experience in Compliance, Cybersecurity, higher education and/or healthcare. Experience and/or familiarity with learning management systems. Experience with GRC tools such as Riskonnect and the ServiceNow GRC module.Equipment Utilized - MS Office suite. Video conferencing/collaboration platforms (i.e., MS Teams, WebEx, Zoom, etc.). Multifactor authentication, online Learning Management Systems (i.e., KnowBe4, SVILearner Mobile).Physical Demands and Work Environment - This position will require to attend meetings, events, retreats, or other approved business functions at locations on and off campus, on campuses in cities other than where the office is located. This position will require lift up to 20 lbs. (promotional materials and/or small equipment). This position will require to sit or stand at computer to work on various projects for hours at a time.
