Press Brake Operator – $25–$28/hr DOELocation: Clackamas Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience Employment Type: Full-Time, On-SiteA growing steel fabrication company is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join its production team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating a Cincinnati Press Brake 350PF+10 to bend, form, and shape steel components according to blueprints and production specifications.Job DescriptionThe Press Brake Operator will set up and operate press brake equipment to accurately form steel plates, sheets, and fabricated components. This position requires strong blueprint reading abilities, knowledge of press brake setup and tooling, accurate measurement skills, and a commitment to quality and safe machine operation.The ideal candidate will have previous press brake or metal forming experience and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced steel fabrication environment.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate a Cincinnati Press Brake 350PF+10Bend, form, and straighten steel plates, sheets, and fabricated componentsRead and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, dimensions, and tolerancesSelect and install appropriate dies, punches, tooling, and back gaugesProgram CNC controls and adjust machine settings as neededPerform test bends and first-piece inspections before productionAdjust bend angles, ram depth, back gauges, and tooling to maintain specificationsInspect finished parts for proper dimensions, angles, orientation, and qualityUse tape measures, squares, calipers, micrometers, angle finders, gauges, and other measuring toolsSafely move and position steel using forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment as neededComplete production and quality documentation accuratelyIdentify and report equipment, material, drawing, or quality issuesPerform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenanceMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all company safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout proceduresExperiencePrevious press brake or similar metal-forming experience preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings requiredExperience working with steel fabrication and metal-forming processesExperience setting up tooling, dies, punches, and machine settings preferredCNC press brake experience strongly preferredAbility to accurately use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, angle finders, and gaugesBasic shop math skills, including fractions, decimals, measurements, and anglesStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to safely handle heavy, sharp, and awkward steel componentsForklift and/or overhead crane experience preferredDependable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a teamExperience with Cincinnati press brakes, bend allowances, bend deductions, material springback, tooling selection, and forming sequences is highly preferred.Work ScheduleMonday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMBenefits$25.00–$28.00 per hour DOE401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time offConsistent Monday–Friday daytime scheduleFull-time opportunity in a growing steel fabrication environment
