Position: Press Brake Operator
Location: NE Portland, OR
Pay: $25-$32/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Who We Are:
Opti Staffing is hiring an experienced Press Brake Operator for a well-established metal fabrication company in NE Portland. This is a great opportunity for a skilled machine operator who can work independently, read blueprints, and produce quality parts with precision and accuracy.
What You'll Do:

• Operate and monitor press brakes and related fabrication equipment to produce parts according to customer and company specifications
• Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot machine settings to ensure accurate bends and formed components
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work orders
• Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards
• Perform routine machine inspections and basic maintenance
• Safely handle materials and finished products
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards

What You Need to Have:

• Previous experience operating a press brake or similar fabrication machinery
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
• Experience using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic math skills and ability to work with decimals
• Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety

The Musts:

• Press brake operating experience
• Ability to perform machine setups and make adjustments
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Experience working in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
• Reliable attendance and transportation
• Ability to lift and move materials safely throughout the shift

Preferred:

• Experience operating large-capacity press brakes, including:
  • Cincinnati 1500 Ton x 30' and Pacific 1000 Ton x 20' tandem systems
  • Accurpress 500 Ton x 26'
  • Accurpress 320 Ton x 14'
  • Cincinnati 350 Ton x 10' with CNC-controlled back gauge
  • Cincinnati 135 Ton x 12'
  • Accurpress 60 Ton x 6' with ETS 3000 Controls and 2-Axis Back Gauge
• Experience performing precision bends on large structural components
• CNC back gauge programming experience
• Fabrication shop experience
