If you've worked front desk, concierge, or member services at a luxury hotel, resort, private club, or fine-dining room, you already know how to do this job. You remember names. You notice the guest who's nervous before they say a word. You fix the problem before anyone knew there was one. And you'd probably like to do it without nights, weekends, holidays, or a 300-room house count.

Dental Harbor is a boutique, independently owned dental practice on Skidaway Island built around exactly that kind of hospitality. Our guests are welcomed with warm blankets, sparkling water, and noise-canceling headphones with Apple TV, and we want the first and last person they see to set the tone for the whole visit. We are looking for a Guest Services Concierge who treats every guest the way the best hotels treat a returning VIP.

We're more like The Cloister at Sea Island or Montage Palmetto Bluff than the front desk at your doctor's office.

Dental experience is not required, and we don't expect it. We'll teach you scheduling, insurance, and our systems. We can't teach warmth, polish, and the instinct to anticipate what someone needs, and those matter most to us.

Compensation:

$23 - $26 hourly

Responsibilities:

What you'll do

• Own the schedule. Oversee the practice's schedule end to end: book and coordinate appointments, keep the day running on time, and fill openings thoughtfully.

• Welcome guests before they arrive. Call or text guests ahead of their visit to welcome them, confirm their appointment, and answer any questions so they walk in feeling informed and at ease.

• Make check-in effortless. Make sure each guest's electronic paperwork is complete and in order before they arrive, then check them in smoothly so the visit starts without a clipboard in sight.

• Own the arrival and departure. Greet every guest by name, settle them in, and send them off feeling cared for. You'll be the first and last impression of every visit.

• Anticipate, don't react. Know who's coming in today and what will make their visit easier, whether that's a preferred appointment time, a nervous first-timer, a parent juggling three kids, or a guest who likes their sparkling water room temp.

• Handle the money conversation well . Collect payment, explain treatment costs, insurance, and payment options clearly and kindly, and process payments accurately. We'll train you on dental insurance.

• Stay responsive. Handle calls, texts, and emails promptly and gracefully throughout the day.

• Partner with the clinical team. Keep Dr. Dew, the hygienists, and the assistants informed so every hand-off is invisible to the guest.

• Keep the house perfect. The reception and guest areas should always look, feel, and smell like a boutique hotel lobby.

• Protect our guests' privacy. Keep accurate records and treat every guest's information with complete discretion .

Qualifications:

Who you are

• 2+ years in a luxury, guest-facing role, such as a luxury or boutique hotel, resort, private club, fine dining, luxury retail, private aviation, or VIP or concierge services. Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five Diamond, or LQA-standard training is a strong plus.

• Warm and sincere, not scripted. People feel genuinely looked after when they're with you.

• Polished in person, on the phone, and in writing.

• Calm and gracious when the day gets complicated, including running behind, schedule changes, or an unhappy guest.

• Proactive and detail-minded. You notice the small things and fix them without being asked.

• Comfortable with technology. If you've used Opera, OpenTable, SevenRooms, or a club management system, you'll pick up our software quickly.

• Discreet and trustworthy with personal and financial information.

• Dental or medical experience is welcome but not required.
